Get in touch with your feelings


The most crucial thing is to embrace your feelings will be working in a long progress. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon so take your time - that's OK! By listening and respecting your true emotions, it helps to heal our mental health well. With this self-love routine, you can balance your emotions as well as boost your creativity. To all lovely women out there, " Love yourself first and everything else will fall into line" (Lucille Ball ). We hope you will find a suitable art therapy in this sharing. Let's start!

From emotion psychology, the left hemisphere is dominant for processing positive emotions whereas the right hemisphere is dominant for processing negative emotions. According to the valence hypothesis, fear, anger, disgust and sadness are considered negative emotions, and happiness and surprise are classified as positive emotions.


And thanks to the research of psychobiologist and Nobel Prize winner Roger W.Sperry, we also understand that human brain's two hemispheres function work differently. The left brain is more verbal, analytical and orderly than the right brain. it's also called the digital brain. It's better at things like reading, writing and computations. The right brain is more visual and intuitive. It’s sometimes referred to as the analog brain. It has a more creative and less organized way of thinking.

With our experience, If you're left brained, you can practice drawing or painting more to improve your imagination and creativity. In addition, if you're right brained, writing will help much to express your ideas better in words. When joining in our workshop, we love to help you to combine 2 in 1 ! 1.Draw or Paint your Feelings

This easy art therapy exercise will help you express yourself better and stimulate your Happy Hormone and use art as an outfit for your feelings. With different materials (watercolors , oil pastels or acrylics...) in hands you can create your unique painting just by listening and respecting your true feelings.


When words seems too hard to write down, this therapy works well to find your inner peace and create your new Soul. Don't compare yours with fancy art out there. It's totally different!

We are not artists - We are here to play with colors joyfully.

2. Write down your Feelings

You can use writing as another creative way to explore the feelings you drew or painted.

Are you ready? Grab your pen and answer " How do you feel today? Can you write that feeling down? "


You start your writing whenever you feel ok with it. For example, on vacation, beginning of a weekend or just some time to yourself after each day to self-reflect. Take note that:

How frequently to write: 3 - 4 consecutive days

How long for each session: 20 min for the first few times or even 5 min still brings some benefits

How many days to write: Write for as many days as you need — just think of the four days as a minimum

Bring a pen and journal /sketchbook and write down the answers to these questions in a relaxing and quiet place.

what keeps you awake at night / where you need to go / which issues relevant to the here and now / which traumas that are present in your mind


3. COMBINE Writing with Sketching


This is special art practice that we offer for our students. You can start slowly with "Mood Tracker sheet" in a fortnight or a month and write your feelings carefully down next to the sketching. It's great to define your emotions based on colors theme. For instance, using blue color when you feel sad or green when you're in happy mood.



We encourage you to sit down everyday and practice step by step. Don't forget to talk to yourself that "Thanks all emotions that come to me . Now I jot you down and put on you some beautiful outfits" . Let's embrace your emotions nicely!
